There
are two basic options for consignment participation:
Once
you have made the decision to consign, it is time to get ready for
entering and tagging your items. You will need index cards,
a pencil or pen, safety pins, hangers, tape (clear tap for bags
and toys, painting tape for books, wooden items, etc.), and zip
ties for shoes.
If you do not yet have a consignor ID, you will first need to click
here where you will go through a short tutorial, set your
password, and you will be assigned a consignor ID. At that
time you are ready to start entering your items into our inventory
system. Chose the descriptions in our system that best match
up with your item. You are allowed up to three selections to
best describe the item. Denim jeans Gap is much more
descriptive than just choosing jeans. At this point you will
also enter the size, set the price, and decide if you
would like this item to go to 1/2 price on Saturday, the last day
of our sale.
Once you have entered your first item, it is time to tag the item.
All clothing items are tagged on the top right as you are looking
at the front of the item. If you were to put the item on,
you would be wearing the item on your left shoulder. See the
photo above for correctly tagged items. Since this is your
first item, write a number one on the card and attach the card to
the item. That is all you need to write on the card, the
rest of the information that you entered about the item will be
printed out on a barcoded tag that we will stick on your index
card. Enter your second item, write a number two on that
card and attach it to the second item.
Examples
of Tagging

All clothing items need to be brought to drop off on hangers.
As you are looking at the front of the item, the top of the hanger
should look like the top of a question mark.
