The following guidelines will help you prepare your items for the
Spring 2010 sale:
CLOTHING
All
clothing must comply with the following guidelines.
-
Please
note that you must have a minimum of 20 items or at least $100
worth of items to be eligible to consign.
-
The
better your clothing looks, the better it will sell! If
necessary, please
take time to wash and iron your clothes. Please
check for stains, fade, broken zippers, frayed hemlines,
missing buttons, etc. We will be inspecting items at check-in
and will not receive any item that is not in excellent
condition. All clothing must be hung on hangers.
-
We
are accepting only Fall and Winter Baby, Children's, Junior and Maternity clothing
for this sale.
-
$2.50
rule: If you have single clothing items that you value at less
than $2.50, please group them together with like items so that
they will equal a value of at least $2.50. Please note that items
may be pinned together on a hanger.
-
All
pants must be pinned to a hanger, not folded over, as they
tend to end up on the floor.
-
Safety
pin all sets and accessories securely together. With pants
hung on the back of the shirt at the waist. Both pieces need
to be viewable without unpinning them.
SHOES
Please
only bring your clean, like-new shoes. Shoes can be
difficult to tag. If at all possible, zip tie the shoes
together and then pin the tag to the zip tie. If shoes
cannot be zip tied (not sure why that would be), please secure
them together in the best way possible and pin or tape tag shoes.
BEDDING
It
is best to package large bedding sets together in a clear plastic bag
with zipper. Smaller bedding sets may be hung over a large hanger
and secured with safety pins.
BLANKETS
Hang and
pin blankets over hangers so that shoppers can see them. If they
are small receiving blankets, group 2 or 3 together.
LOOSE
ITEMS
Bottles,
bibs, rattles, socks, bows, etc group together appropriately in
Ziplock bags. Seal with clear packing tape. Pin tag to Ziplock
bag.

be bagged and attached to the main part very securely. If parts
get separated it will not sell. Games should be taped closed.

TOY RECALL
INFORMATION
Toy recall information - Due to the high number of toy recalls during the past year, we will be inspecting toys very carefully. We reserve the right to pull any toy that we think might have been recalled. To help us, please do not bring any toys that have been subject to a recall. You may check the following website for current toy
recalls: www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/category/toy.html
CAR SEATS
Your car seat must have been manufactured within the past five years. It must not be subject to recall or have been in an accident. You may check the following website for current recalls:
www.carseat.org/Recalls/179NP.pdf
All seat covers and straps must be thoroughly cleaned. You will be asked to sign a car seat waiver stating your car seat has all the pieces and is in excellent condition and not more than five years old. Car seats will be closely inspected for safety reasons.
PRICING
RECOMMENDATIONS
Pricing
your items is always a challenge as you attempt to balance
receiving fair market value with the risk of over pricing or under
pricing your items. There are several "rules of
thumb" for pricing based upon a percentage of the retail
price. However, given all of the other factors involved in
pricing such as quality, market demand, etc., there really is no
magic formula beyond what the market will bear at any given point
in time. However, in an effort to ensure that you have the
best chance of selling your items, we can provide some
guidance. As such, you may download and utilize these
pricing schedules:
